Had no idea Microsoft bought Skype! I suppose I’ll be moving to China to continue to use Messenger… I’ll have to learn Chinese as well… make new friends…

Seriously though– I’m wondering how long Skype will continue to be what it currently is and when Skype will become what Messenger already is for Microsoft. I hope it stays fairly easy to use and free of weird extensions and extraneous features. I think the number one use for Skype, at least for someone like myself, is the free and easy to use video chat from one person to another. It’s incredibly useful when communicating with someone across borders or when traveling to another country where someone may not have a smart phone to use, just pay a little Skype time and call anyone on a landline.
