The team from General Protection Fault traveled to Comdex 2003, where they spoke with the data recovery firm DriveSavers about recovering data from destroyed computers, some horribly mangled and ruined, like the one that was on display. It had been run over by a truck, yet amazingly, most of the data was recovered.
Whatever problem has struck your drive, DriveSavers can find a solution. GPF had a chance to talk with John Christopher, a data recovery engineer, about some of the ins and outs of trying to recover supposedly irrecoverable data.
