It’s a little late now (since windows 10 update is no longer “free”), but to stop windows 10 update notification – go to run, type in regedit, search for runonce. Hit F3 to find it again. When it finds runonce, chose “run” right above it in the tree. There will be listed a bunch of things that run upon boot. I believe the windows 10 update inquiry was obvious (don’t remember what it was called), save this registry entry to any place (incase you are making a big mistake) and then delete the windows 10 thingy. No more issues, until the next windows update.
